Here is a short recap of the meeting:
- Three local non-profits were presented by members: Shelburne Falls Welcome Committee (Creative Thought and Action), YMCA of Franklin County , and Journey Camp (Traprock Center for Peace and Action).
- Each 5 minute presentation was engaging and informative and was followed by a Q&A with a representative of each non-profit. Thanks to the members who nominated groups and made the presentations. It is always difficult to chose, as all of the non-profits are doing amazing work in our community.
- The Shelburne Falls Welcome Committee received the most votes (42) and is this quarter’s recipient of the 100+WWC gift. Please click on the link to learn more. Journey Camp received 28 votes, and the YMCA of Franklin County had 14.
- The Shelburne Falls Welcome Committee works under the fiscal sponsorship of the 501c3 nonprofit Creative Thought and Action.

Please send your donation to the selected nonprofit to me at the address below, or donate online directly to the organization. Checks should be written to Creative Thought & Action. If you donate online, please send me the confirmation email so that I can include you as one of the 100+ WWC contributors. We anticipate donating well over $5,000! You are welcome to give to the other nonprofits as well, of course. I can forward your donations to the respective organizations, if you choose to give to the YMCA or Journey Camp. Shelburne Falls Welcome CommitteePlease send in your contribution as soon as possible as I will be giving the donations to the organization within two weeks. We must receive your donation or confirmation of your online donation by March 1, 2025 at the latest. While donations are welcome after that, it will be too late to be counted as donating this time and you will not be able to vote at the next meeting.
